Glad to read this article. Years ago, I stopped writing to the media (mostly The Gazette) wondering why there was barely any foreign coverage, and when there was - well into the age of the internet - it was only from the most mainstream of sources; I received "our readers aren't interested" responses too. I spend a good part of each day forwarding articles to friends about important events completely off the radar in Canada and the US. We all should be asking ourselves why the mainstream media actively encourages us not ti care.
